This one’s for Steve…
Took some video of Katy & friends playing DDR this last weekend. Katy is getting quite impressive. She can literally beat most people playing DDR sitting down. I also have a video of Dusty & Laura playing together. Awe…aren’t they cute…
Update: Wow, that wasn’t smart. Posted the full-size videos and as people started to download them, my ssh connection got really slow. Gotta prioritize the thesis over the videos, so here are smaller versions. Send me an email if you’d like the full resolution clips.

i have so many comments that i think i need to start my own blog about morlok-hating.
first, i have come to realize that your wife is more funny than you. which makes it worse when you try to copy her slang phrases, about cutting and what not.
second, why are you filming this? dont you have a tribute to be working on? you guys need to get out of the house. get some sunshine. go to the park. play lacrosse. work on your comebacks to my comments. anything.
third, does katy read this? if not, tell her i want my friend back. since when does mr. r.j. morlok sit around filming people play console games? worse yet, since when did ryan have friends over to play console games? the ryan i knew spent hours, nay, days in front of a computer screen memorizing the functions and commands of all microsoft office products. the r.j. i knew was on pace to have carpal tunnel by the age of 23. obviously a change in hobbies and attitudes.
lastly, if these videos are any indication of katy’s athletic abilities, ryan, your kids are in trouble. wow! not only will they peak at a height of 5′6” but they will have the stiffest upper body movements and lowest aerobic capacity this state or illinois has ever seen. horrifying all around.
p.s. i want to see video of r.j. ddr’ing while trying to finish off a red-hot jawbreaker. the ddr’ing would go alright at first, then r.j. starts to turn red and sweat from the ‘dancing’ and the jawbreaker followed by him turning a deep red in the face and passing out with a minute and half to go on the song.

Steve, how can you be a judge of my athletic abilities? Until you prove to me that you can DDR on the hardest level, then you cannot talk smack, biotch! Why are you making cracks about my height? I can’t do anything about that. I never make cracks about glasses, or hair, or style, or how you are the most whipped man I have ever met. Don’t you be talking crap about our future kids either! Thats a low blow. Just for that, I am totally cutting your ass next time I see you! Oh, and don’t you think morlok-hating is a little broad? Damn, what did Kendra ever do to you? Your rants are just trying to compensate for your E.D. …..bitch!

i am glad rj told you to look at my comments. first, ddr is not an assessment tool for athletic ability, but an indicator. ddr is simply an elimination indicator. watching someone ddr at all is an indicator that they should be eliminated from consideration from whatever athletic team/contest we are assessing.
next, your height is something easy and relatively harmless to pick on. believe me, i am not laying it on very thick yet. ask shoe about his weight/build.
also, i am not the one that starts with the abilities of our respective children. rj has been taunting me about how his kids will kick my kids ass in whatever he happens to be talking about for that day. i am simply defending myself.
more so, i do believe that morlok hating seems broad. that is my fault. for those who dont know rj, everyone just calls him morlok in our group of friends. i have no qualms with the rest of the morlok clan, just you two. sorry for the confusion.
i dont have ED. to prove it, perhaps i should shoot some of my own video proving you wrong and put that on this blog. better not, wouldnt want to rj to feel inferior about that area on top of athletic ability, looks, humor, etc.
your statement about the tribute hurts. perhaps you dont realize what i am trying to do here. i have know rj for 3/4th of our lives and i am sure he has ALOT of photos of me that will be hilarious and embarrassing to me. i dont care about that though. i just want rj to take his best shot here. i know he is dying to get home to put up all of these hilarioius photos of me that he is thinking about already. if you didnt know this about rj, he is very competitive, especially with me. this is his chance to out do me and he knows it. i just want to make sure he is properly motivated, whether out of friendship, comedic-value, or hate. give it all you got rj. i cant wait.

i should note that morlok will from now on be called ‘rj’. it is obvious for those that know him well. but this change must happen as not to confuse him with the other morloks and also we will be using that as his new name with a full story about a prison stint at the high school reunion.
