In order to keep the number of posts to this blog manageable (read: sarcasm) I’ve launched a new blog related to software development. That should keep this free of the boring useful information that get’s between the random links I find on Digg.

This has to be the worst idea you’ve had since moving back to MN. Why not just leave it as a combined blog and simply set the technical articles not to show unless clicked on. Perhaps how Slashdot treats lower priority articles?

Mainly because that would require a code change to the blog. Right now facebook is importing my rss and I’d have to differentiate between technical and non-technical stuff. (pulling just the technical stuff would be easy, it could be under a specific tag, but then I’d like to tag things under technical articles). Basically everything on this blog is for my friends, everything on the other blog is designed to be picked up by google for people who are dealing with technical problems. Or, for when I just link to articles, I’m helping raise the pagerank of articles I think are important.

What the hell? I hurl an insult and a poorly thought out plan at you and you respond with logic and reason? That’s not at all how it works.

Much better. And extra points for using “your” instead of “you’re”, regardless of whether or not it was intentional
Hope things are well.
